The budget calculator is a first split. This sheet starts when a supplier sends a number. Record the net, the VAT rate, the deposit, when the rest is due, and what happens if you cancel.

Quotes you have actually received

Net, VAT, deposit and the date it is due.

Stored in this browser only. EventDoIt does not receive the amounts. Clearing site data removes the sheet. VAT is calculated from the rate you enter. It does not decide which rate a supplier may charge.

Quote 1

Add a net amount to see VAT, the gross and the deposit total. Empty rows stay out of the total.

Questions people ask

How to read the total.

Which VAT rate should I enter?

The rate printed on the quote. Nineteen percent is common for services in Germany. Seven percent appears on some food. Zero is for a price that is already the amount you will pay, or a supplier who is not charging VAT. This sheet does not tell you which rate is correct.

Where is the sheet saved?

In this browser only. It is not sent to EventDoIt. Copy the summary into your own notes if you need it on another device.

Should I enter the gross or the net?

Enter the net, then the VAT rate from the quote. The sheet adds the VAT. If the supplier gave only a gross price, do not invent a net figure. Ask them to split it.

A quote is useful once you can compare it.
